Parent and baby, captured together — while they are still small enough to fit in your arms. Sleepy newborns are best suited to the scan, however we welcome all ages and recommend booking around their usual feed-to-sleep or nap time.

We recommend capturing your pregnant body between 32 and 36 weeks — when the bump is at its most magnificent — though every stage is honoured here. We have sculpted from 20 weeks for multiples to 40 weeks and beyond. Wherever you are in your pregnancy journey, your form is worthy of fine art.

Your scan moves from the studio to the atelier, where Mana and a dedicated team of in-house artists bring your piece to life in solid resin or solid bronze. Resin offers a smooth, refined contemporary finish. Bronze reveals its own character — surface variations that are not flaws, but marks of authenticity. Proof that your piece was made, not manufactured. No two are alike.

The scan
For most, a body sculpture commission is a first — and it's completely natural to arrive feeling a little nervous. Mana guides every session personally, taking the time to understand your vision, find your pose, and make you feel at ease in an experience that is entirely new. By the time our advanced 3D scanning technology captures your silhouette, the nerves have settled — replaced by an excitement to see your finished sculpture. And nudity is never a requirement. Fabric can be as compelling as skin — we have scanned women in lingerie, silk robes, and denim, each draping and revealing the form in its own way.

Your form moves from the studio to the atelier, where Mana works alongside a small team of dedicated artists — focused exclusively on Lulu Dré sculptures. Every hand involved is in-house. Nothing is outsourced.

I'm Mana — head artist and founder of Lulu Dré Atelier, the first and only pregnancy sculpture studio in the southern hemisphere to produce bronze entirely in-house.
When I first began experimenting with 3D scanning and sculpture creation, I was surprised to discover that most Australian pregnancy sculpture studios were outsourcing production — scanning clients in one place, then sending their most personal data, including intimate body scans, to a third party to be made by strangers. For something this personal, that didn't feel right.
So I built something different. At Lulu Dré, I meet every client personally, hear your story, and carry it with me into the atelier where I work hands-on alongside a wonderful dedicated in-house team of artists. Your body scan never leaves our walls, and your piece never passes through unknown hands, as a matter of principle.
