During your private in-studio session, your posed silhouette will be captured by advanced 3D scanning technology. Your scan will appear on-screen in real time for you to view.
The scanning process is completely safe, non-invasive, and quick. You'll stand in a comfortable position while the scanner creates a detailed digital model, which will be digitally refined and used to model your customised sculpture.

Sculptures are available in multiple heights: 15cm (desk display), 17cm (shelf display) and 20cm (statement piece). All sizes make for a striking piece of art and ultimately come down to personal preference.

Resin is a highly refined, liquid material that transforms into a solid, durable form when cured. Known for its exceptional precision and durability, it allows for the creation of sculptures with ultra-fine details - right down to tiny finger nails!
Resin captures delicate textures and intricate forms, and is used to transform your 3D body scan into a beautiful piece of contemporary art.
At Lulu Dré, we use solid (as opposed to hollow) resin to provide weight, strength and durability to your sculpture. Many clients have been surprised to discover how strong and heavy solid resin sculptures are.

Solid bronze is a timeless metal, renowned for its strength, durability, and warm, lustrous character. For centuries, it has been the material of choice for fine sculpture because it holds intricate detail beautifully and develops a rich, natural patina that deepens with age.
In sculptural form, solid bronze carries a sense of permanence and weight, designed to last centuries. Its surface can range from mirror-polished to softly textured, and its evolving coloration makes every artwork feel alive, continually shifting with light and time. Lulu Dré offers a range of one-of-a-kind patinas (i.e., colour options) to choose for your solid bronze sculpture. We will work with you to bring your vision to life.
In short, solid bronze is a classic sculptural medium celebrated for its endurance & elegance. It creates a truly luxe piece of art.

The variation in price primarily comes down to material cost and the level of craftsmanship required for each medium. Bronze, like gold, is a precious metal sold by weight, making it significantly more expensive than resin, and it's a traditional sculptural material known for its weight, durability and timeless appeal. In contrast, while resin is also strong and aesthetically pleasing, it’s lighter and less costly to produce.
Beyond the raw materials, bronze sculptures involve a far more complex and labour-intensive process. The creation of a bronze piece requires multiple custom moulds and several production stages, each handled with precision. Resin sculptures, while still hand-finished, are less time-intensive to produce and involve fewer costly materials.
Importantly, all sculptures are handcrafted by me personally in a Melbourne workshop using locally sourced, high-quality materials. Many pregnancy sculpture studios choose to outsource their production, however I choose to keep everything in-house, ensuring your body scans and personal data are secure, and that your sculpture is created with care and precision.
This hands-on approach allows me to stay competitively priced while delivering a highly personalised, Australian-made keepsake that honours the personal journey it represents.
